Nance

I am Nance Moran, creator and co-owner of Life is Dog. I am also an experienced and educated veterinary technician and I hold an MS in Biology where I’ve held a long-term career as a Scientist.  This supports our science based reinforcement dog training approach. I am a certified trainer CPDT-KA and currently I also hold a Diploma of Canine Behavior and Science Technology (DipCBST) for Behavioral Modification, and a certified Service Dog Coach (SDC), and AKC evaluator. I share my life with Bruin (beagle mix), and Charlee (golden), and Woodstock (golden).  I enjoy training, constant learning through continuing education and collaboration, novice freestyle fun, horseback riding and camping along with campfire friends.  Life is Dog was born in love and a superior petcare model celebrating individual needs and the quality of care we provide.

Tim

My name is Tim, you will see me most often at the door to the Camp, greeting the dogs and their owners as they arrive each day.  My journey with Life Is Dog began in 2016 as a Business Consultant.  Over the years I have worn many hats and for the last few years I’ve been proud to call myself the General Manager.  I have a lifetime of experience managing businesses for others as well as my own handyman business for many years.  I have two grown daughters that, I am proud to say, are making their own way in the world.  When my life should have slowed down, I pivoted and got a bunch of dogs to raise and care for.  My wife and I now have three dogs at home and all the controlled chaos you could ask for.

Kim

Hi, I’m Kim!  I’ve worked for Life is Dog for 5 years as a down to earth, trustworthy professional dog walker.  I’m a University of Vermont alumni and a proud parent of a German Shepherd, Brodie.  Before Life is Dog, I worked for a land surveying company working on the Big Dig in Boston.  After that, I decided to stay home to raise two wonderful daughters.  Dogs of all sizes, from a Dachshund to German Shepherds, have always been a big part of my life since I was born.  I became a dog walker to follow my strong love for the outdoors and dogs.  One of my hobbies is photography and I love taking pictures of my 4 legged friends!”

Jess

Hi I’m Jess. I have been with LID for almost 4 years. Although I am primarily a walker you will also see me around the daycare from time to time. I enjoy being outside and love animals of all sizes. I can’t wait to meet your furbaby!!

Matt

Hello my name is Matt! I’m a Gemini, and boy howdy do I love me a good dog! Like dogs are like 7x better than people! But seriously I have an Associates’s Degree in Animal Care from Becker College.  I have been with LID since 2016 when we opened our puppy daycare with only 3 dogs!  We are now up to over 30 dogs/day and we are very proud of our low dog to attendant ratio, making for a very happy and stress free environment for the dogs.

Amy

Hi, my name is Amy Barry and I am a certified dog trainer based in Brookfield, Massachusetts, specializing in both group classes and private instruction. I have spent many years gathering hands-on experience as a pet parent to dogs, horses, a cat, and guinea pigs, which has deeply shaped my understanding of animal behavior and care.

I received my professional training through CATCH Academy in 2017 and have since had the privilege of working with hundreds of dogs and their families. I am an AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator and hold a Service Dog Coaching certification through Cooperative Paws Training. I am passionate about using positive, reward-based training methods and believe strongly in natural, holistic feeding and care for all animals.

Dana

Hi, my name is Dana Langley, co-owner of Life is Dog. I have loved animals throughout my life, and after a successful career in the restaurant industry, I chose to pursue a profession centered on my passion for working with dogs and their people.

I began my journey with Life is Dog in January 2016 as a part-time ABC Certified Dog Trainer and ABC Certified Service Dog Trainer. It quickly became clear that this work was the direction I wanted for the next chapter of my career. In April 2016, I joined Nance as a business partner and co-owner of Life is Dog. I find great fulfillment in training dogs and supporting their owners, helping them build strong, positive relationships and the best life possible together.
